Holy crap, the kid didn’t ruin the movie. Dakota Goyo was pretty good. Story was pretty generic, Hugh Jackman is out-of-luck robot boxer, finds out he has a son, and the two of them go off and play Rockem-Sockem Robots throughout the whole movie. Who cares if their wasn’t much of a back story to either how fighting robot technology came into being, or why we should belief a robot on robot fight wont result in massive collateral damage, and probably some audience fatalities.

What is important is that we get to see a father and son bound together, especially when that father sells his kid for money in the beginning of the movie to buy a new robot, it just makes the eventual bounding all that more important and realistic. What more can a father teach his son then fighting for money and fame. Also Evangeline Lilly and Olga Fonda are in this movie, which makes me appreciate this movie even more.

Robot fighting, robot dancing, and robot decapitation makes for a pretty entertaining movie.
